About DunMove

Who is behind it and why does it exist?

Who is behind DunMove?

My name is Sven Dunker, I was born in 1985 and I work full-time as an electronics technician. In my spare time, I am a passionate cyclist - whether on an MTB, gravel bike or racing bike. I also love cars, RC models, programming and tinkering.

Why DunMove?

I originally wanted to buy a training plan for myself - one that would fit my goals, my available times and my competitions exactly. I searched for a long time and tried a lot, but never found what I really needed. Sure, a real coach could have done it perfectly, but that would have cost several hundred euros.

So I thought: Can't I just build this myself? With logic, mathematics, and a bit of Python know-how, I started developing a system. Once the foundation was laid, I built a frontend with HTML and JavaScript – and so DunMove was born.

What do I bring with me?

I have over ten years of experience in active cycling, with multiple podium finishes in local races, but also at large events like Rad am Ring (24h Solo), Race Across Germany, and as a team rider in the legendary Race Across America. Besides sports, I am a real tech nerd and might even call myself a numbers and tech monk – perfect for developing a system like DunMove that combines sports and smart planning.

What does DunMove stand for?

The name 'DunMove' comes from 'Dunker moves' – originally, the project was intended as a personal solution that grew into something larger. It stands for movement, for smart, individual plans, and for the goal of motivating people to get more out of their sport without getting caught up in subscription traps or expensive coaching.
